Hot Water Beach Lifeguard Service is committed to the prevention of drowning and injury at Hot Water Beach on New Zealand’s beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Hot Water Beach LS provide lifeguarding, water safety and education services and get a lot of satisfaction from playing such a vital role in the community. Hot Water Beach is an isolated beach, within a small community, located on the eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula south of Whitianga township.

2013/14 season 101 rescues - Most rescues for NZ, largely due to tourists that flock to the beach in their hundreds seeking out a soak in the hot pools
Patrolling
Each weekend from Labour Weekend 2013 through until Easter Monday 2014.
Regional Guards start mid December through until the end of February 2014.
At the beginning and end of the season patrolling is two hours either side of low tide.
During Peak Season: 10am – 4pm Saturdays and Sundays
